Chelsea + Gregg: Wedding

I had the pleasure of photographing Chelsea & Gregg's wedding yesterday at First Baptist Bryan.  It was absolutely beautiful!  Chelsea and Gregg! The way the two of you look at each other radiates the love that you share... and I was so happy to be a part of your special day!! Thank you for allowing me to capture that for you guys! Here are a few of my favorites! :)

Chelsea & Gregg had this brilliant idea... She walks up to me and says... "When we feed each other the cake... we're going to reach across and smash it in our best man/maid of honor's face!  The best man... or, the "Better-man" as he preferred leaned so far back he got out of the frame...but you get the idea! Chelsea... seriously. Brilliant! I might have to steal this idea! :D

The McGregor Family

 I still can not believe you guys drove in 2 hours for this session yesterday morning!! I am so glad I got to do this for you guys! I hope you love them!!  

This is SUCH a BEAUTIFUL family!! I could not have asked for better subjects!! :) Especially little miss Gabby! She kept saying... "Take my picture".. "My turn!" ha! At one point she said... "That's enough!" haha So cute!

I had such a great time with all of you!! I hope you were able to make it to that Aggie game last night! :)

And this was the last shot taken...  I love this shot... She was tired... and her dad was holding her in his arms... it just represents the love that a father has for his child.  So sweet!

Thank you so much for such a fabulous shoot! I loved working with you guys! (Should have seen the big cheesy smile on my face while I was editing!) I hope they make you smile too! :)

Jeff + Anthropologie: Random-ness

As some of you know, I host my event proofing site through collages.net!  They have been A-mazing! My rep, Jeff flew into Texas this week for a meeting and asked if I could meet up and shoot some headshots while he was in town! We ended up in downtown Austin and went into Anthropologie! !  Since it was Earth Day, they were collecting donations to send honey bee hives to Africa.  Apparently one hive can feed an entire village in Africa!  They were gracious enough to let us use their store for some photo ops...and I FELL IN LOVE with the Textures, Colors, Patterns, Random-ness that is: Anthropologie! It's amazing! I felt like a kid who overdosed on pixie sticks and chocolates! ha... I had to touch EVERYthing!  If you would like to help donate a bee hive, please do so by visiting Heifer International and see how you can help! (You can also donate a COW!- not for harming... but for milk etc!) :)  Cool huh? :) Okay... sooo... here are my favorites of Jeff... AND some random-ness I captured throughout the store!  Jeff.. seriously... I had a blast during your shoot... you are Hi-lar-ious!! oh my goodness... ha... Okay okay... here you go!

Colors! (Another brilliant display!)

So, Anthropologie had like 8,457 different items that had letters on them... and Jeff's last name is Jones...

So we decided to make a habit out of it... ha

This is the back of a leather chair! I loved that all of the little buttons were different! :) The bottom two photo's are pepper shakers and bowls! See? Random!  I call this the "Clothing, books, & Door Knob" store! Where else can you get hardware, sheets for your bed, a cute dress, and wall decor? ;)

If you are a photographer...and are looking for some inspiration, this is definitely the store to go into! Inspiration EVERYwhere! I could have spent all day in there! :)

Elsa + Channing: Engagement

Else & Channing!! It was so great meeting you guys! You guys are some troopers! We drove out to Round Top, TX to shoot at a place called Festival Hill... It is a music/concert hall... It was so funny... we were in the middle of shooting and this guy walks up and asks us if we'd like to see the concert hall...(which is in a semi-eery-castle-like building that looks sort of under construction...) I think I speak for all of us when I  say we were all kind of fearing for our life! So this guy walks us in and unveils this beautiful auditorium! Needless to say... we didn't get kidnapped and held for ransom... but we did get some CD's!  I think Channing (the body builder!) got the Tchaikovsky CD... haha... How's that for workout music? ;) Here are the favs! :-D

Lisa + Joe: Wedding

Lisa & Joe! You guys are... amazing! I had so much fun with yall! Despite the rain... everything worked out beautifully!  The wedding and reception were at Eagles Bluff south of Tyler, TX.  It is a BEAUTIFUL venue... and Darla (wedding/event corodinator) is AMAZING!  The rain held off just long enough for the ceremony... and as soon as they said "I do!" It started raining again! At least the rainy day gave us some great clouds to play with! Here are some favs... (A LOT of them...) plus a slideshow... Lisa and Joe... It was my pleasure sharing in your day!! You are more of a friend than a client... and I love that! :) I hope you enjoy these! :) Congratulations! 

Barbara of La Tee Da Flowers made these GORGEOUS works of ART! She is my favorite! I recommend her to EVERYone! Look at that bouquet! Are you KIDDING me?!

I went inside to grab batteries... and I knew there was this window that I wanted to shoot through... So I was trying to sneak a shot... aaannnd I got BUSTED! See! Thats what I get for trying to be sneaky!

Lissa

Lissa!! If this girl looks familiar... She is the sister to Linda (Engagements & Bridals below)... they all look alike..(All 5! Joe, Lissa, Adrian, Amy, & Linda...  I'll be shooting Adrian's e-shoot soon & you'll see for yourself!) But back to Lissa! She used to be my babysitter! Ha! After her sisters sunrise engagement shoot this past weekend we decided very last minute to grab some shots of her too!  It was great being able to visit with her like we used to... We even went out to dinner that night! I was able to go through the whole day without any plans!! :D (... I can't tell you the last time I was able to do that without worrying about having to be somewhere... or get something done! :P - AMAZING!) The whole day was unplanned...but I ended up going to watch Lissa & Linda's kiddo's play baseball... and being able to visit over dinner was ICING on the CAKE!  It makes me realize... that I need to take more time... enjoy this life  (that is entirely too short)... and spend more time with the people who mean so much to me! :) Fly off the cuff a little more! Worry about work a little less!  Enough rambling! Here are a few faves of Lissa! 

Lissa never really had creative wedding pictures... so... this is as close as we could get without bringing out the dress! :P

**Note to Lissa** You thanked me for making you feel "beautiful & flawless for a day"... but I have to tell you...Lissa, YOU are STUNNING... A devoted sister & a solid friend who has always been more like a sister than anything else... and more importantly... A selfless wife... a great "baseball-mom" ha... to all of those super cute baseball kiddos, and an even more amazing mom to two handsome boys!  Like most moms... you take care of everything and everyone before spending any time on yourself... You come last... and I'm sure you wouldn't have it any other way... BUT... You are absolutely beautiful!! Don't let that thought get hidden in the crevices of life and busy-ness. The focus is just always on everything else... and it was MY absolute privilege to be able to capture this for you!  To remind YOU...  of the things that are so obvious to the rest of us!  I hope you love them! ... and thank YOU! :)

Chelsea + Jake: Engagement

Chelsea & Jake! It was so great meeting you guys (despite the crazy/weird/awful/hazy weather conditions this weekend! Ya'll are so much fun! :) I can't wait for your big day at The Oasis in Austin! On the lake!! It's going to be BEAUTIFUL!! Couples like you two make my job easy! :) Thanks for a fun shoot! I hope you love these!! Here are my favorites!

Linda + Dylan: Engagement

WOO for waking up at the butt-crack-of-dawn for sunrise shots!! My alarm went off at 5:30... and I think I hit snooze about 4 times... until I finally realized, if I kept "snoozing"...We'd miss the sunrise! But we made it! ha! I grew up with Linda & Dylan & I am completely honored to be their "Everything-Photographer" haha... You guys are awesome!! It was SO windy!... I'm sure you can tell! Hair. EVERYWHERE!! However... Linda looks HOT with the wind-blown hair! What do you think? Here are a few favs!! :)

I know these next 3 are mostly all Linda (sorry Dylan!) ha... But I couldn't choose my favorite out of these 3 to post...so you get all 3! :)

Need a part time job sifting through emails!?

I have probably received your email... However, chances are I haven't gotten to it yet... This is why...

 

Proof that photographers don't ONLY take pictures ... There really is a business side too!! I promise! :) (Now... take into account some of this is spam... but on Saturday I had ZERO emails!... Talk about overwhelming- ewww!) I'll tackle this one a little bit later! haha
