Langley + Drew ... Las Vegas!

Whew! I'm sure I'll be recooping from the copious amounts of traveling I've been doing... for a little while... ha! but for now... here is the Vegas post!

I had an opportunity to shoot a wedding and e-session in Vegas with the fabulous Monique Montoya from MMPerspectives!   Monique is incredibly creative and has talent coming out of the wazoo! It was an honor to assist her during her shoot! (Although I have some things to learn about being a 2nd shooter! Thanks for being patient with me! You're the best!)

Im catching up on everything...but I wanted to at least post some of my favorites from each shoot!

Now... There are actually 3 parts to this gorgeous ROCK! But the 3rd part kept slipping! ha... I had to post anyway... because I really love this ring... Drew- Good taste!!  ;)

I'm sure Monique cought the front of this very same picture... so you'll have to check that out on her blog.
But this was my angle... I don't ever get a chance to shoot from this angle... so I was pretty excited about this shot! Look at the way her dress flows! And that look on Drew's face in the distance! You can tell he adores her!


I had to post two of these shots... I love how the attention to detail was expressed... It looks almost too good to eat... Almost! ;)

Iao Valley - Helicopter - Sunset

So... aside from getting really sick on this helicopter ride... it really was a neat little adventure! 

This is a view of Molakai from the helicopter

Haleakala (dormant volcano)... We hiked up this volcano... 10,023 feet.. well... hiked in the car... ha... You literally drive through the clouds... to get to the top... and then you're standing above the clouds...(as you can see how far above those clouds we were) it was pretty surreal! Most people do this for sunrise... ha..that was a little early for me! So I don't have a sunrise picture for you...BUT I DO have a sunset picture for you from yesterday! And it was AMAZING to say the very least!

While we were watching the sunset...we saw 3 whales jumping repeatedly in and out of the water! They just looked like they were having a ton of fun! I caught 2 of them jumping... like they were doing backflips! I guess we were about a half mile from the whales...so its not the best picture... but it will give you an idea! (The island of Molakai is what you see in the background).

And this is the sunset! Beautiful! Yeah?! 

More Maui!

We are about to head out to go on the helicopter ride... hike through some waterfalls, and see Haleakala's crater! Here are a couple of pictures for you I didn't get a chance to post yesterday!

 

Whale watching!

We went whal watching and I got this shot! I think I was pretty lucky... There were 2 males fighting over the female..and one of the males knocked this one on the behind..and made him come up out of water! We saw a TON of them!! Anyway... here are some other shots too..of... hotel.. and the rainbow from yesterday! :)

Scuba diving!!

Ha! So I just figured out how easy it is to post in the blog from my phone! So you might be getting a few random posts from me this week!! Okay! So we just got back from scuba diving!! Woo! We saw turtles and eels and I held the cutest little baby octopus! As we were finishing up two barracudas were swimming above us... Uhh... No good.  Ha! Oh! And then...  you hear whales "singing" or calling their mate? That was pretty amazing... I'd love to go on a whale watch while I'm here..so hopefully I'll have some cool stuff to show you! :)We are sitting by the pool eating some lunch and watching the superbowl! Here is a picture of me  I took with my phone after we went scuba diving and very tacky yet fabulous ring! Haha! Aloha! See the lei!!

Seriously,,,, a HUGE thank you to Steve who was our scuba instructor... he was phenomenal...and we had such a great time! If you have ANY plans to visit Maui...please go scuba diving with this guy.. He is fun and patient...and very good at instructing!!  We might even go again before we leave! :)

Maui Day One!!

So I woke up early this morning (about 7am here.. 11 am Tx time)... and walked around the Westin Resort where we are staying.... It is so relaxing! Here are some shots from this morning! :) I can't promise to blog every day...but I will do my best! :)
